Starbucks Delivers – A Free Smoothie on my iPhone
Two months ago, it was a hot and steamy summer day in NYC.
An email arrives from a friend with a coupon attached for a free Vivanno, the new fruit smoothie at Starbucks. I couldn’t believe it.
I could print out a million of these and keep getting ones for free. Seemed too good to be true. The coupon looked real, but I didn’t ask many questions.
A few days later, walking through Gramery Park in New York, I needed something cold. Then I remembered that coupon in my mailbox.
Free Vivanno = Winner
I had to try it, but the coupon lived on my Apple iPhone, not on paper. Could this magical coupon on my phone really get me a free $4 drink?

Now the magic happened. She looked at me, looked at my phone, and then paused. ”Ok, what flavor do you want?”
A huge smile spread on my face. With nothing printed, this coupon of unknown origin works.
A free drink just tastes so much sweeter.
